Storage Best Practices for KVM on NetApp Released

I'd be willing to bet that many of you are unaware that my team, vSolutions Engineering, works with virtualization technologies from multiple technology partners. While VMware solutions comprise the lion's share of our efforts, we also architect solutions with Citrix & RedHat technologies.

I should point out that we don't handle all Intel based hypervisors. Our Microsoft team provides Hyper-V based solutions and our Oracle team is focused on solutions built with OVM.

We have published our first technical report focused on deploying Red Hat's Kernel-Based Virtual Machine (KVM) with NetApp storage technologies. TR-3848 provides detailed best practices for designing, operating, and integrating KVM with NetApp.

The TR can be downloaded here.

As with any version 1.0 release there's a lot more which we have planned to deliver. if you are considering KVM, please share your suggestions and feedback with us. Believe it or not, you have a large influence on what is added in future updates.

Thanks Vaughn but I was looking for Oracle VM LDOM information. Does NetApp have a Best Practice for Oracle VM for SPARC (LDOMs)?

ive also received Netapp document RA-004-0810 which is reference guide for KVM and RedHat with Netapp. Is this published publicly?

its good but needs some additions :)
